we're not in Kansas anymore toto

so, apparently even though the sun is shining and it's a beautiful day here in CA, we are are under a tsunami advisory. now calm down mom, it's the lowest level of threat and it's more than likely not going to affect us what-so-ever, assuming i am not planning on going for a swim in the ocean or hop on a boat....which i am not. it is a little ironic though as my aunt has been completely convinced since the moment we decided to move here that we were just going to drop off into the ocean. not today though. but you can bet your a*@ that i will be watching and waiting at 1:46p (pacific time that is) to see that tsunami.

in other news, i managed to get up to 6 miles this week on my longest run. which to those of you who are well up there in the double digits, that is nothing. but to me, the one who hasn't been able to run since october, it's a lot and i'm pleased. what i'm not pleased about is the fact that by run #2 this week i could feel my stress fracture. boo! so, as much as i wanted to get out there and soak up the sun this morning for at least 5-6mi, i could not. but you can rest assured that tony horton and the rest of the p90x crew (which on a side note i am convinced that he is sleeping with Drea for those of you who are familiar with it, please tell me i'm not imagining this!!) has been kicking my booty all week.

so the question i leave you with.....what does one wear to a tsunami?
